Visual for PMODashboard: From Delivery Friction to a Functional Beta

The challenge

Growing teams can see activity in chats, spreadsheets, task boards, and meetings while still lacking delivery control. Ownership, risks, financial exposure, decisions, and executive reporting remain fragmented. The product question was whether this recurring management problem could be translated into a focused, usable platform rather than another disconnected reporting layer.

My role

Founder, product owner, and business analyst responsible for defining the problem, shaping the governance model, structuring the beta feature set, and setting an evidence-led path toward pilot validation.

Delivery approach

  1. 1Defined the central problem clearly: activity may be visible while delivery control is not.
  2. 2Translated recurring project and portfolio management questions into a connected governance model.
  3. 3Built a functional beta covering project organisation, stakeholders, planning, requirements, deliverables, risks, cost and effort, decisions, reporting, and lessons learned.
  4. 4Connected scope, delivery, risk, and decision information through traceability rather than presenting isolated dashboards.
  5. 5Reviewed the product as an investable and operable proposition, including its strengths, weaknesses, and development priorities.
  6. 6Placed commercial validation, security review, and operational hardening ahead of a broad public SaaS launch.

Business value

  • Created a working beta with substantial product depth rather than a presentation-only concept
  • Consolidated core delivery-governance questions into one coherent model
  • Reached a stage suitable for controlled pilots and investor discovery
  • Made the commercial-proof, security, and operational-hardening gaps explicit
  • Established a focused sequence for validation and development instead of an unfocused feature backlog
